From Hogsmeade and Azkaban to the Forbidden Forest and the Chamber of Secrets, there’s an almost endless list of fascinating places to visit in the Harry Potter franchise. Arguably none are more interesting than Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The school that Harry and his friends attend plays a major part in Hogwarts Legacy, including during the Daedalian Key Side Quest. Starting the quest just requires a quick chat with Nellie in the Transfiguration Courtyard. Completing it is another matter. To do so, you’ll have to search Hogwarts Castle to find 16 different keys, unlock cabinets containing House Tokens, and at last, unlock the House Chest in your room. Here’s where to find all Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy: Where to Find All Daedalian Keys

The Daedalian Keys are part of a long and complicated quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Because of that, it can be easy to get overwhelmed and lose track of things or give up on it altogether, especially because you don’t have to complete it to finish the main story. When in doubt, turn to the map and the hints you’re given to keep you on track.
The First Set of Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy
Cabinet #1
Key #1 can be found in the stairway leading up the Astronomy Tower, right inside the door that leads to an old, rickety, wooden set of stairs. Using your Revelio Spell, you can find it and approach it. It will lead you to the Cabinet that it unlocks.
Cabinet #2
This Key can be found in the Astronomy Tower, next to the Rhinoceros Skeleton.
Approach it, and it will lead you up the stairs and to the left twice, where the Cabinet is.
Cabinet #3
The third Key can be found in the Central Hall of the Library Annex. From there, head to the right when you reach the fountain and head toward the entrance to the Greenhouse. You will find the Key here.
Once you’ve found the key, it will lead you up the stairs on the opposite side of the room where the Transfiguration Courtyard is.
Cabinet #4
Their fourth Key can be found in the Library area of the Library Annex near some bookshelves next to the Floo Flame.
Once you find the key, you will be led to a cabinet on the other side of the library.
The Second Set of Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy
Cabinet #5
The fifth Key can be found in the Central Hall of the Library Annex area. All the way up the stairs that lead to the Viaduct, turn to your right and cast your Revelio Spell to find the Key.
Once you’ve found the Key, it will lead you to a cabinet that sits on the right-hand side, at the bottom of the stairs, you just came up to find the key.
Cabinet #6
The Sixth Key can be found in the Potions Classroom area of the Library Annex. Past the doors ahead when you spawn in at the Potions Class Floo Flame, you will see the key on your left-hand side at the top of the stairs.
Once you find the key, it will lead you down to the bottom of the stairs to a cabinet.
Cabinet #7
The seventh Key can be found in the Transfiguration area of the Astronomy Wing. After you spawn in at the Transfiguration Classroom Floo Flame, go through the doors that lead to the North Hall and turn left.
After you find the key, it will lead you to a cabinet on the top floor above you.
Cabinet #8
The eighth Key can be found in the Astronomy Wing as well. Fast travel to the Transfiguration Classroom and head to your left through the large doors. Head down the stairs there until you’ve found the sleeping dragon statue.
After you find the key, you will be led back up the stairs a bit to the Cabinet.
The Third Set of Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy
Cabinet #9
The ninth Key can be found in the same area as the eighth, but instead of stopping at the dragon, turn left and continue down the hallway. The Key will be in front of you at the end of the hallway.
Once you find the Key, it will lead you into the Cask Room.
Cabinet #10
The tenth Key can be found in the Grand Staircase. Head to the level just below the Puzzle door, and you will find the key there.
This Key will lead you to the cabinet near the Grand Staircase Floo Flame.
Cabinet #11
The eleventh Key can be found in the Great Hall area, near the Viaduct Floo Flame. Head inside the Entrance Hall just up the stairs, and the key will be below the door with the large Hogwarts Crest.
The Key will lead you to a Cabinet to your left as you walk into the Entrance Hall.
Cabinet #12
The twelfth Key can also be found in the Great Hall, directly to your left as you fast travel in.
Once you’ve found the Key, you will be led to a Cabinet on the opposite side of the room.
The Fourth Set of Daedalian Keys of Hogwarts Legacy
Cabinet #13
The thirteenth Key can be found in the Great Hall. Once you fast travel there, head through the big doors and continue into the courtyard, past the statue, and through the massive archway.
The Key will lead you down the stairs to a cabinet.
Cabinet #14
The fourteenth Key can be found in the Faculty Tower, which can only be accessed once you’ve completed The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament Main Quest. Head inside and head up the stairs to the next floor. Once you’ve found the key, you will be led back downstairs to a cabinet.
Cabinet #15
The fifteenth Key can also be found in the Faculty Tower, all the way on the top floor, and at the end of the portrait hallway.
Follow the key to a cabinet near the entrance to the bathrooms.
Cabinet #16
This key can be found in the Clock Tower, through the door all the way to the left from the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Once you’ve found the Key, it will lead you to the next floor up, where the cabinet is.
Once you have found the last of the Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy, return to your House Common Room and place them in the House Chest to unlock it. In exchange, you’ll receive the Relic House Robe, a stylish marker of your triumph. Now you can get back to exploring the Wizarding World in your fancy new duds.
