This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

XCOM 2, the uber-popular RTS that hit consoles four years ago, is finally coming to iOS next month.

Originally developed by Firaxis and published by 2K, the game is being ported to mobile platforms by Feral Interactive. The good news here is that it’s not just the original game coming in November.

In a statement on Tuesday morning, Feral made it clear the four pieces of DLC, as well as War of the Chosen is all part of the XCOM 2 Collection.

For those not familiar with this real-time-strategy masterpiece, it’s a direct sequel of the original XCOM. One where humanity lost the fight to keep invaders from taking over.

“Aliens rule Earth, with a new order promising a brilliant future while crushing all dissent. On the edges of the world, the scattered forces of XCOM gather to ignite a global resistance, save humanity, and reclaim the planet.”

Feral Interactive is bringing the XCOM 2 Collection to iPhones and iPad on November 3 for $24.99. Unsurprisingly a game that plenty of people said was too hefty to run on their PCs isn’t offered on earlier model iOS devices.

Indeed, in order to play the game, you’ll need an iPhone 7 Plus, 8 Plus, and any iPhone released since the iPhone X. Supported iPads include all iPad Pros released since 2017, and all other iPads released since 2019.

XCOM 2 Collection Price Tag Warranted

Some might raise an eyebrow at $25 for an iOS title. We think that’s a reasonable price considering what’s in the package.

War of the Chosen completely revamped the original, very good game. Adding it to all the other DLC on mobile devices means you’re getting a heck of a game.

The original XCOM on iOS got more play from me than any other mobile game. By a good margin.

The XCOM 2 Collection arrives on the iPhone and iPad on November 3. There’s no mention of an Android version in the works.
