Japan has received its first Xenoblade Chronicles X update patch that fixes a grand total of one thing in the entire game. Eastern players will now no longer have problems obtaining Union Points one at a time while playing offline. Yup. That’s it. One Union Point error.

Additionally, though, certain players of the hot new Nintendo Wii U release, Xenoblade Chronicles X, have “chronicled” their experiences with a certain hiccup that occurs during the mission “The Repair Job.” Towards the end of the mission, players must talk to an NPC named Bart after obtaining a requested number of energy tubes. However, Bart claims that they don’t have enough tubes even when they do. Not all players will experience this technicality, which is triggered by the way in which the tubes happen to be handled by the player.

Bart steadfastly refuses to let the player progress through the game. ‘Cuz he’s just a big, mean jerk that way.

Luckily, the fix is exceedingly simple. By checking their inventory, players will see that if they use up, sell, or put any of the tubes into their collectipedia, those items won’t count towards the mission’s completion. All that is needed is to go out and get another one (or however many they need to replace.) Not exactly a glitch, but it can be confusing if you aren’t expecting it.

For those of you hoping for something a bit more… buggy, never fear. Youtuber Wishing Takal has posted a video with a glitch that happens in many other video games: the classic falling-through-the-ground glitch!

In all honesty, as massive and deep a game as Xenoblade Chronicles X is, the fact that there are so few things wrong with it is a very impressive feat. Doubly so when companies are so desperate these days to release the buggiest games possible on day 1 and then fix them as they go along. Props to Nintendo and Monolith Soft for doing things right and putting the sheer godly amount of time and effort into ensuring XCX was the marvelous experience it is from the start.
