Did you enjoy the flesh tanks in Death Stranding?  If your answer was yes, it would appear you are in luck as a new trailer for Zombie Army 4: Dead War has just dropped, and it features similar such horrors mixed into the ranks of the undead Nazi army.  Known as the 101 trailer the video shows a ton of new details from the upcoming shooter, including new levels, new enemies, new weapons and features on both the co-op, campaign, and horde modes, all filled with a constant march of occult fueled Nazi hellspawn and over the top zombie-killing action.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the sequel to Zombie Army Trilogy, both of which were produced by Rebellion Developments Limited who are perhaps most famous for the Sniper Elite games, the series of historical 3rd person stealth shooters where you take up the weapons of your choice and sneak around various battlefields on a mission by mission basis, mostly to blow away Nazi’s from halfway across the map to be rewarded with a slow-mo x-ray shot of the damage you did to your enemies internal organs.

They are pretty great.  And Zombie Army 4: Dead War shares a lot of that same DNA.  Championed in the trailer as “Rebellion’s trademark X-Ray Kill Cam” it has been expended and improved as has pretty much everything on display.  There are tons of unlocks and upgrades with all the usual sort of over the top stuff only everything here is more so.  There is a heavy focus on bloody melee kills, shrapnel traps ripping through undead flesh, and electrical, fire, and divine elements aiding you on your quest to defeat the undying horde.

The only significant difference seems to be that this game is more focused on the action than the stealth and sneaking elements, which is only fitting for the change in genre and tone.  The main draws here are the campaign and horde mode.  Both are ultraviolent Nazi murdering gorefests that provide action and horror in equal parts for you and up to three friends.  Pardon the pun, but it seems like a hell of a time.  If you like the sound of it, check out the trailer above.  Zombie Army 4: Dead War arrives on PS4, Xbox One, and PC February 4th.
